The world’s health systems and infrastructure have been overwhelmingly drained during the Covid-19 process. The risks have led to a large part of public health decisions focusing on the care of infected people and particularly those who require specialized treatment. This has also led to significant chains of delays in care processes, evidencing the inadequacy of infrastructure and the urgent need to program investments to stabilize the imbalance between growing demand and existing resources.

That is why the Mexican Society of Architects Specialized in Health (SMAES) in conjunction with the International Federation of Health Care Engineering (IFHE), and the Center for Social Security Studies (CIESS), convene all institutions, national and international, public and private in the health and social security sector to the XVIII International Congress SMAES “Hospital of the Future”- International Seminar of Prospective IFHE, event that will be held in hybrid format (virtual and face-to-face) from November 6 to 10, 2021, with Mexico City as its headquarters. General Preliminary Program is annexed.

Considering that, both because of its global nature and the impact of Covid-19, this congress represents one of the greatest efforts ever made, expecting significant national and international coverage. As part of this event, in addition to the “Forum of Foresight”, we have incorporated a virtual structure that allows the assembly of our classic EXPO-SMAES, where the technological advances of the products and services that the most outstanding companies offer to the market of the health sector are shown. This time in virtual format through the “Virtual Venue” platform, a disruptive format where we will all begin to enjoy from the first moment.
